Love Island’s Tommy Fury risked a very awkward run-in with ex girlfriend Millie Roberts as they attended the same event in Manchester together.
The former flames, who dated for two years before the boxer found love with Molly-Mae Hague in the ITV2 villa, both attended the same Boohoo Man event in Manchester on Wednesday night, risking an awkward reunion after Millie hit out about her relationship with Tommy while he was in the villa.
Tommy, 20, and Millie, 22, left the event “minutes apart” according to reports, before getting into separate taxis while exiting Rosso Restaurant at 2.30am.
Millie, who branded Tommy “controlling” during their relationship was seen sporting tight black shorts and a Calvin Klein bra accompanied with an oversized white shirt as she left the event in high spirits.
Meanwhile Tommy kept it casual in a grey tracksuit as he smiled for the cameras outside the event while keeping his hood up.
The pair risked bumping into each other for the first time since Millie made a number of remarks about her romance with Tommy, who she claimed dumped her to go on the show.
Millie said after it was announced he would be joining the show: “He said that Love Island was something he had to do for his career and he did offer to stay with me.
“For me no amount of money or fame could ever replace love and happiness. You can have all the money in the world but that does not make you happy.”
Millie also issued a warning to Molly-Mae in the beginning stages of her romance wth Tommy in the villa, telling her not to “ignore the warning signs”.
Millie told The Sun: “He’s very good at talking, he’s very smooth and calming, he would talk his way out of any situation.
“Don’t ignore red flags when they come up. He will talk his way out of it. He would lie about where he was every weekend, he would say he was with his granddad but he wouldn’t be, he’d be out and staying in hotel rooms.”
Taking to Twitter, the gorgeous blonde revealed how Tommy didn’t sign up for the show and was instead approached by producers while they were still in a relationship.
She wrote: “He was approached after his first pro fight. Then I would say in the space of three months we split up about 5 times.”
She then added: “He wouldn’t want me wearing revealing clothes, wouldn’t let me go to certain places in town he wanted me to be very reserved and modest. But ya gal likes a drink in a mini dress so.”
Millie added that “some of the best memories she’s ever had” have been spent with Tommy and that “it’s a shame they have been ruined” by his appearance on Love Island.
When asked if Tommy was being authentic in the villa, she responded “yes and no”, adding that he “can’t cook to save his life”.
“I don’t think all the things he says to girls is genuine but at the end of the day it’s a game and I guess he’s doing what he’s got to do.
“He’s a fiery character so I would be interested to see that side of him come out. He seems like a bit of a wet wipe so far.”
It comes after Tommy’s girlfriend Molly-Mae continues to spend time in Los Angeles amid claims she’s set to sign a £500,000 deal to become an ambassador for fashion brand Pretty Little Thing.
The 20 year old will reportedly have her own line for the company after meeting with multi-millionaire owner of the company, Umar Kamani, who also owns Boohoo, during her trip to LA this week.
A source told The Sun: “This is a huge deal not only for Molly-Mae, but PrettyLittleThing too. It’s one of their biggest collections to date. Molly-Mae had a huge following even before Love Island, so they were desperate to land her, whatever it cost.”
