Following a great weekend of wrestling, AEW and WWE, and even NJPW, can be proud of their work.
Let’s look at the biggest lines to come out of those shows:
Jim Ross invited to RAW Reunion
Legendary commentator Jim Ross has revealed that WWE offered for him to come back and work their reunion show next week.
Ross, now of AEW, ran that idea by president Tony Khan and he gave the idea the green light. Ross has however decided himself not to go ahead with it.
Bray Wyatt plans
According to WrestleVotes, Bray Wyatt was slated to make a return to TV recently and have a featured match at SummerSlam.
But now that the Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff era have started in earnest, those plans are said to have changed and it’s not certain when he will re-debut.
MJF injured at Fight for the Fallen?
MJF is one of the hottest heels in the business right now, but he cancelled an independent show on Sunday because of an elbow injury he picked up on Saturday night.
While nobody is certain, there is speculation that it is a work and will play out in AEW moving forward.
Why Brock Lesnar cashed in
Lesnar brings some star power back to the title, but fans will no doubt be disappointed that WWE hasn’t tried to make any new stars beyond Baron Corbin.
